Last week I was talking to a friend who was going home for the holiday weekend and he mentioned how excited he was to give his Mom a hug. I was then talking to my Mom about how I was jealous and wished I could visit home and give everyone a hug. Then last night I was having an especially hard time with life in general and was stressed over little things and really just wanted a hug from my Mom. She had told me that she sent something special in the mail and that I should get it today.
Today I got a envelope in the mail that said Hugs from Home. I opened it and this is what I found!
Paper Hugs from some of my Favorite People. As I read the Hug from my Dad(I'm assuming it's the one on the top judging by the size of the hands and the arm span) I remembered the song by Jimmy Wayne "I love you this much."
Although I have amazing parents, who willingly and frequently express their love, I do have times where I feel lonely and that is when it's a great reminder that Christ suffered for me because of his eternal love and is always there waiting for me to lean on Him for comfort.
I am so thankful for such an amazing family and for being raised with the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am truly blessed.
