3 things

#1-Boy oh Boy
There are sometimes when I wish I was a boy, I wouldn't have to get up as early in the morning because it only takes 5 min. to do you hair(at BYU I guess they have to shave, but how long can that take), their swimsuits are half the price as ours, they have so much more natural athletic talent and if they aren't going on dates it's their own fault. THEN there are times when I'm glad I'm a girl, like today. I know I said it's their own fault if their not dating but I do not envy that they have to ask girls out. Seriously just thinking about asking a boy out, makes me break into a sweat(no wonder boys are so sweaty), we'll see if I'll follow through with my goal.

#2-Bruises
I'm taking a beginning tennis class for the first block of the semester(after that it's too cold to be playing tennis outside). For having never played tennis I feel I'm pretty good. I chose tennis because I figured it would be safe. False. I have so many bruises because I hit my self with my racket on my follow through. I should probably change that. Besides the bruises that it gives me, I'm really loving the sport. Today we played a game called Wave and while I wasn't on the Champion court, I was the top girl in the class. I even battled it out in a LONG rally to get my winning point. My teacher said it was the most captivating rally of the day. I'm pretty legit.

#3-Baking
Tonight there was a Relief Society activity and I was in charge of treats. I wanted to make something but it needed to be easy. SO, I made Oreo Truffles and Pretzel Turtles. (Making 2 things kind of defeated the purpose of making something easy but oh well) Both of these recipes only have 3 ingredients, that fact alone makes them pretty amazing but they are also pretty delicious.

Oreo Truffles
1 package Oreos
1 block of Cream Cheese
1 package of vanilla candy coating
Crush Up the Oreos
Mix with Cream Cheese
Form mixture into balls and freeze
Dip in Candy Coating

Drizzle with Chocolate to cover up how bad you are a dipping things

Pretzel Turtles
A package of Rolos
As many pretzels and pecan halves as you have Rolos

Put a Rolo on top of each pretzel
Put in 300 degree oven until chocolate and caramel are soft
With Pecan half press the Rolo down into the pretzel.
Let chocolate set up, you might need to put it in fridge or freezer

  3. Just so you know, it's not that bad asking out a guy. The first few times it's really scary, but then when you realize that any guy you ask out is going to be flabbergasted that a girl would go to the effort of asking him out, you'll realize just how unlikely you are to ever be turned down. That's a great confidence booster :) Good luck, I hope it goes well!

  4. I've made the truffle balls with Nutter Butter Peanut Butter Cookies....it's peanut butter HEAVEN!!!
Tip..if you buy the rolos in the tube they are not foil wrapped, big time saver.

  5. Heidi, I've been thinking about trying them with Nutter Butters but I've been hesitant because I wasn't sure how they would turn out, glad to know they're good. I was also told I need to try them with mint oreos because it takes them to a whole new level.
Every time I make the turtles I tell myself afterwards that I need to buy the rolos in the sleeve but every time I make them again I grab the bag.
