Even though I was being rather definitive in the post title the post actually includes my whole weekend, which for me started when my cognition class ended at 11 on Friday(for the definition of Friday, you can turn to Rebecca Black). Well it really started at 2 because that's when I left the library and finished my studying. I went to the temple on Friday afternoon, this is the time that I have decided to set aside this semester to go to the temple, and I realized that I've been going Friday afternoons for almost two years minus during the summer. (I still go but since my schedule is a little more random and the temple closes for maintenance I'm not consistent in the day and time) I love the temple workers on Friday afternoons. Some of them have changed but some of them are the same and I enjoy seeing them every week and that they no longer have to ask how to pronounce my last name.
Friday evening I went to the women's soccer game and they fed all of the students cheap hot dogs(because we are students and will eat them) and churos. I've really gotten into women's soccer this year, the team is pretty good and my roommate works with one of the star player's husband (there are also a few soccer players in my flexibility class).
Saturday morning I got up and played tennis with Star, Katie and Corey(who was my golfing buddy this summer). I am taking beginning tennis this semester so it was nice to work on my backhand a little. The rest of my Saturday was devoted to football. I made bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers and took them over to Corey's house where we watched the game. How I love Football! It was not a pretty game for BYU but we came out with a W. My friend Mike had some yardage and a tackle(he was in my ward last year and is kind of a big deal) and the football boys in my Flexibility class(there are at least 6 of them) also played important roles in the game with receiving the only offensive touchdown, kicking the PATs and recovering a fumble. Saturday night I went over to Katie's house and we did laundry and I watched the Boise State game with Katie's dad, he's a HUGE BS fan.
Sunday I went to church, it was a great set of meetings but I don't know if I'm ever going to get used to taking the sacrament in the same room I had cell bio in(I feel like my neurons have been negatively classically conditioned towards that room and it's going to take some work to overcome it). Sunday evening we had dessert night at 'the house of blues', there are multiple music majors who live in the house and we had live jazz music playing as we at delicious treats, it was pretty awesome, you should be jealous. After dessert night in attempt to convince the boys that live in the house across from us that we are cool(there were some accusations the pointed towards us by a few members of that household) we invited them over and they ended up playing guitar for us, I'm not sure how that was supposed to convince them that we were cool but it was enjoyable for me and Katie.
Monday morning I went and practiced tennis with Katie and then we went home and smoked out our house as we made hamburgers for lunch. I then went with Connie's family and hiked to the diamond fork hot springs in Spanish Fork. Since I didn't have classes today(besides tennis and flexibility) and could devote it to studying, even though it is clear that I'm blogging instead, I didn't have to study at all this weekend and it was great.
Also sorry for the ridiculously long post with no pictures but the combination of me being terrible at taking pictures and also not having internet and so I do all of my posts on library computers does not correspond well with pictures in blogs.
Your post are never to long for Mom :)
