Being a Twin. It's pretty awesome I have to admit and sometimes quite entertaining. Mostly because people don't pay attention to detail and so they can't tell Bethany and I apart. (Right now we are studying attention in my cognition class, you should watch this video it's really quite amazing how little people pay attention). I was initially shocked and then I remembered about this guy in high school my senior year. I had art class with him in the mornings and Bethany had Constitution with him during the middle of the day. I didn't know him very well and so he had no clue that I was a twin. That was the year Bethany tore her ACL and had surgery and so she was on crutches. After a couple of weeks of her on crutches he came up to me in class and asked me during Art why I always faked having an injury in Constitution class, because clearly I did not need crutches during Art class. I had to convince him I was a twin and asked him if he didn't notice the difference in clothes. Apparently he thought that I changed clothes everyday between 1st and 3rd hour. So proof people don't pay attention.
Second story about being a twin, I know I already posted it on Book Face but it is pretty good. Here goes.
[Me chilling before flexibility class by myself, girl in my class walks up]
Her: Can I ask you a strange question?
Me: Sure
Her: Are you from Tucson?
Me: Nope, I'm from Sierra Vista, which is near Tucson. Why?
Her: Oh, well you kinda remind me of a girl I would see at the U of A institute. You look a lot like her.
Me: [Moment of silence as I laugh to myself] Oh that's my twin
Her: Oh ok.
She didn't actually know Bethany, because when that happens I get hugged by strangers, or a random guy looks straight at me and says my name and expects me to respond.
Last thing about being a twin, ok not the last, but the last for right now. After people find out I have a twin that looks just like me it is a common occurrence for them to ask me if can communicate telepathically. Well the answer is YES. Today at the football game UCF had the ball and BYU was on defense. It was a huddle between plays and I was wanting something to happen and so I told all the people around me that I wanted a fumble recovery for BYU. What happens when the play started, you ask? BYU forces a fumble and recovers it. BYU does nothing with the possession and so we punt and UCF once again has the ball, I want something else to happen and so I tell the people around me that I there needs to be an interception because we hadn't had one all game. This time it took two plays but I got my interception. Pretty sure I could be the telepathic voice in Bronco's head as he encourages his defensive team. Xavier, Maroney pretty much the same last name right?
Last special skill that doesn't have anything to do with being a twin but Bethany has made them before. Look what I made tonight.
Pretty stoked for the morning when I bake them.
Edit:
These were AMAZING!
I found the recipe here but apparently the recipe originally came from an Oprah magazine.
