I got done with Finals on Wednesday morning, after getting out of my final at 10 I headed over to help out with the lifting angels silent auctions put on by Friday’s Kids Respite which is a nonprofit organization I’ve been working with all semester for a class. I spent about the next 10 hours working on different tasks for that, because let’s be honest I had nothing else to do, I was done. Thursday I made some cream puffs for the auction Friday evening.
Friday morning was time for laundry and cleaning because my room was a disaster and I don’t know how I had any clothes left to wear with all of the clothes that I washed (maybe that was the real reason I looked like a bum wearing sweatpants all week). I also went on a much needed trip to the temple. At about 3:00 I left my house to start loading auction items from the house they were being stored into my car to take over to the Springville Museum of Art where the auction was located. I didn’t get back home until about 10:30, except for the couple minutes I stopped to pick up the cream puffs from my apartment. The auction went well, there were about 260 items up for auction with items from crocheted hats to a football signed by Steve Young. The caterer did an awesome job(she volunteered her services for the organization) and from talking to her it only encouraged my deep desire to bake for a living.
