I decided to break one day into two blog post mostly because if a blog post is too long I give up and stop reading the post but for some reason I can read two posts right after each other with no problem so really this is for me. Also I know most people don’t get super excited about my sports blogs, which is ok, I just love sports so I feel if I leave it out of my blog it’s not an accurate portrayal of me, so I didn’t want the none sports people to miss my crafty fun post because it was disguised with sports.
After the volleyball game, I put out butter on the counter to soften and made oatmeal cookies due to the volleyball loss and because I’ve been craving cookies. Here’s me making cookies!
We put on our bunny ears and started to dye eggs. We decided to try the natural dyes, boiling different foods and using the juice. The best by far were the black beans(which weren’t a suggestion on the webpage but I made black beans the other day and noticed the nice purple staining color of the black bean juice), we also didn’t do it the way the webpage told us to because Cassie had already boiled the eggs before we read the instructions. My roommate found the idea at A Storybook Life http://www.astorybooklife.com/how-to/easter-eggs/ theirs are a lot cooler than ours.
Finished product!
Waiting for the egg to dye
While waiting for our juices to get color we decided to have peep wars which are always fun and in my opinion the only good thing to come of peeps.
