Throwing darts at balloons filled with paint. I'm pretty sure it's an activity that has crossed every girls mind, probably most guys minds to but they don't want to admit they watched Princess Diaries, which is where we got the idea. Katie's sister did it a while ago and we've been planning on doing it for a while now but never found the time... until President's Day our FHE was cancelled and we wanted to do something fun so we decided to go for it. The longest part was getting the paint into the balloons, actually throwing the darts took a while also because we aren't very good at aiming.(there is a reason they cheer when they hit a balloon in the movie, it's not very easy) I was the only one who could actually blow up the water balloons with my mouth, apparently being on student council and decorating for dances did help develop one talent, blowing up balloons. So we found someone with an air pump and used that instead of our lungs. The next step was getting the paint into the balloons, until we figured out how to do it was quite the task. After that you have to tie the balloons and they were sometimes covered in paint which made it quite difficult. Let's just say on multiple occasions the balloon deflated and the paint came out of it and splattered all over us. After that I had to blow the paint filled balloon up with my mouth, which is kinda gross, but we couldn't get paint on the air pump we borrowed. With paint all over me I sort of looked like an addict of paint.
It made quite the mess, here is our table which we covered in paper before we started filing up the balloons.
It was really fun, it didn't work out as well as we would have hoped but we have improvements for next time we try it. (like watering down the paint so it splatters more)
Also, one should note that popping a balloon with paint in it gets paint all over the darts, and then you have to throw that same paint covered dart to pop another balloon, so your hands get covered in paint.
