Since I last posted I've been to Arizona and back. I loved seeing family at Morgan and Spencer's wedding, although I'm a little sad I never got down to Sierra Vista and I missed out on the Open House in SV. Since I returned I have been busy working at the Freedom Festival and nights at Kneaders. It's been very busy, last week I didn't see my roommate Chelsea until Friday when I got done with my internship.
I've had a lot to do working with the Freedom Festival, designing tickets, picking up tickets, going to meetings, answering phones, replying to emails, choosing vendors, setting up events and really anything they need me to do. It's a little crazy but I LOVE it and I really love the people I work with, they are amazing! It's chaotic at times but we have fun. I look forward to going in everyday.
Also it's amazing what a little sleep can do for my disposition, last week I was a little bit cranky, I was called in to Kneaders to cover some shifts so I didn't get as much sleep as I was hoping for but I have gotten to bed at a decent hour every night since Saturday (James left early Monday morning, so I don't really have anything to do in the evenings) and for the most part I'm a lot happier.
Monday was a wonderful Memorial Day, I woke up to say goodbye to James before he left to Sacramento for a week and a half (without me :( ), I then took a short nap before I got up again to go for a 2 mile run. I think I'm averaging about a 7 min mile (it takes me about 15 min with me walking a little bit before I check the clock) so I'm feeling pretty good about where I'm at. After my run, I showered and headed to a Memorial Day Service that the Freedom Festival is a part of, it was wonderful and helped me feel the spirit of the day. When I finished with that I spent the rest of the afternoon with Star (who I hadn't hung out with in a while :(, what can I say, I LOVE spending time with James). We went and got burgers, which I had been craving for a while, then we headed to the park to play some catch and while we were there the BYU basketball team was delivering free personal pan pizzas. SCORE. When we got tired of playing catch we took a nap in the park, then put a Y decal on my water bottle. I always enjoy spending time with Star.
Life has been crazy but WONDERFUL. I love the Lord and his hand in my life. I have seen so many things be placed right in front of me lately and it amazes me how much He cares for what happens to me. He truly knows what is best for me, and His timing is perfect (although if you would have asked me about Heavenly Father's timing 3 months ago I might have had a different opinion).
I love your posts (Letters). I have missed our visits since life became so busy and am grateful that you are enjoying your life. I am grateful for your testimony and witness of Heavenly Fathers love and concern for His children. Keep listening to Him. He is always there!
