I love it. Next week I get to go to Arizona for ND's wedding. It will be a short trip because I can't miss much work. Having just started a job and a volunteer internship has been great but it also means I can't vacation. Which is kinda of a bummer because James invited me to drive to Sacramento with him and spend a week with his family, which I'm kinda sad I'm missing out on. Also I have an awesome double cousin (even if she calls us out for not blogging) who currently lives in Sacramento and it would be really cool to visit her.
1. For my nonprofit minor I need 160-300 hours with a NPO to graduate/get certified. Back in January I emailed America's Freedom Festival at Provo about the possibility of working with them but I never got around to pursuing it anymore. Well once I walked in April I knew I NEEDED to get my internship, so I set up an appointment to talk with my adviser to see if he had any ideas of who I could do my volunteering with. Well two days before my meeting someone from the Freedom Festival called me and asked if I would like to volunteer with them. Um...YES! So I started with them, my first task was calling Mayors and religious leaders in Utah County to see if the would be attending the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast. It's great. Pretty much I do what ever random thing they ask me too, and I'll be working with the 4th of July festivities and I LOVE the 4th of July!
2. Summer is in full swing, I've gone to the pool and had shaved ice. LOVE IT. Also Katie and I planted herbs, we got basil, rosemary and dill. I'm excited.
3. Also I made bread pudding for the first time with the chunky cinnamon bread I got from Kneaders. It was delicious.
Random Ending Note (not that the rest of my blog wasn't everywhere)- Since I've started dating James I've had 3 other guys ask me out on dates. I LOVE where I'm at in life and I'm glad I'm dating James, but why did these guys, which I've known all of them for at least a year, wait until the only time in my life that I've not been single to ask me on a date. Oh well, I'm sure there's a reason but it kinda stinks for them.
