On Wednesday I picked her up from the airport after class(confession I actually skipped my last class because I was so excited to see her. Don't worry it was the first time and last time I'll skip that class this semester, partly because I only have it 4 more times!) We went to the Bountiful temple and did baptisms, went to Nielsen's frozen custard and headed back to Provo.
Thursday I had a group meeting so there was an hour she had to kill while I was campus. Before I went to meet with my group we ran into her old neighbor from last summer who was going to a volleyball class taught by my golf buddy. So I convinced Bethany to join him. That afternoon we went shopping, we even made a Costco trip and she got me toilet paper and Peanut M&Ms :) Thursday evening we went to the volleyball game, it was fun but the other team was not very good so it wasn't as entertaining to watch as some of the others.
Friday I took Bethany to class with me and we learned about motivation and addiction. Right after class we headed to watch my friend run the steeplechase in a track meet. He did awesome, winning the race and setting a personal record! (Still to nervous to write about my awesome boyfriend on my blog but the whole rest of the world knew, well at least my mom and she's the one that matters) For those of you who don't know what the steeplechase is, it's ok, I didn't know what it was either until my friend had me watch a video of a race, it's 3000m (7.5 laps, a little less than 2 miles) and there are hurdles on the track and one hurdle (shown below) with a puddle of water after it. Although you are watching them run nearly 2 miles (has the potential to be boring), obstacles always make things interesting (as long as it's not the person you're cheering for that trips), it only took 9 min 25 sec to watch and you get to watch a bunch of skinny guys run in short shorts ;)
Friday night we helped my friend Star out with a football alumni dinner, mostly because they gave us free food and some swag. After we were done with that we stopped by the rugby field for a little bit because BYU was playing Arizona. Perfect Right? Not so much BYU ended up winning 80-8 and so it wasn't very pleasant for Bethany to watch. So we went home and made sticky buns for Saturday morning conference.
Saturday we chilled in Provo, watching conference. During Priesthood session Katie, Bethany and I went to Sammy's to get Cream Pie shakes.
Afterwards we made cream puffs to take to my Aunt's house on Sunday. I lost in their bracket challenge so I had to pay up with cream puffs. (This was the first time I took James to Connie's, Lincoln was not happy at first that I had another boy in my life but now he like James more than he likes me) After conference we (James and I) took her to the airport, I always dislike saying goodbye to her but my parents and Shelby come in less than 3 weeks and I will be making a short trip to Arizona in the middle of May, so it's not too bad.
My mother told me to make sure and take pictures, and I did a terrible job. I was even going to have a friend, who is a photography major, take a comparison picture of us, hence the opposite shirts in the Sammy's picture, but we ran out of time. Sorry.
I guess that One picture is better than none! Thanks for the update. Looking forward to our visit. Love you lots!
