"I always have trouble remembering three things: faces, names, and - I can't remember what the third thing is."-Fred Allen
As a neuroscience major I know that I'm not really having hippocampal issues because I am able to transfer things from short term memory to long term memory but since it's not really known yet were the memories are stored I can't blame that part of my brain so I am just going to sound scientifically ignorant and say the problems in my hippocampus.
For the past year I've had a locker in the RB to put my exercise clothes in so I didn't have to take them back and forth everyday, and for at least the past 6 months I've had no problem remembering my locker combination and getting into my locker...until 2 weeks ago. I went to go change before I shot a basketball around and even though I had opened it the day before, for some reason I could not open the lock, on multiple occasions in the last 2 weeks I have gone to see if I could open it and to many attempts I failed. Yesterday however I had to return my towel that BYU loaned me because it was the end of the term, problem I can't get my locker open to give them back their towel. So after trying for a good half hour, looking for where I put the paper with the combination written down for another half hour and googling how to figure out a locker combination(it was to complicated), I put my pride behind me and had to admit to the girl at the desk I forgot my locker combination and she cut the lock off. Not really that sad about destroying the $5 lock but the degradation of my memory kind of worries me especially since I have three finals to take tomorrow.
