I don't know what it is, maybe the daily vitamins that I've finally remembered to take every day for the past month possibly making it so my body is at homeostasis, but things in life have finally started to make sense the last week.
First, I'm finally starting to catch on to some of the stuff I'm learning in cell biology and I don't feel like a complete idiot who doesn't belong in the class.
Second, since I started my golf class my teacher has been telling me that I have a beautiful backswing but my actual swing needs some work, he told me I need to throw my hip out before I go into the swing, and to make sure I do my follow through. These tasks seem simple but I could not figure it out for the life of me. However, Yesterday I went home for lunch in between my classes and while I was eating I turned on Sportscenter for a minute, and they were talking about Tiger Woods' swing, which got me thinking, and I'm pretty sure I've figured out the hip throw and follow through. I still need to go play to see if I actually have, but I was practicing my swing and it felt nice.
Third, I've figured out the reason why people think they recognize me. Last semester I had a lab and one of my lab partners called me Alison before he even knew my name, apparently he knew an Alison from Arizona that looked a lot like me. Then multiple times in class today we had to work with a neighbor and teach each other the diagram we had just gone over, however neither the girl behind me or myself wanted to review it because it didn't seem like we would ever actually have to know it so instead we talked. I asked her what her name was and she said Allie and then I said my name was Alison. She wanted to know how I spelled it and I told her with one L, apparently her actual name is Alison with one L, kinda cool because most Americans spell it with 2 Ls. She also had naturally super blond hair, very light skin, similar eyes and a similar build, which made the fact that her name was Alison a little curious. Then we were talking some more and in a previous class period I had made a comment and mentioned that I was a twin, she remembered that and apparently she was a twin but her twin was miscarried. More than a little curious, we continued to talk and she is also quite a bit like me, especially when it comes to how we approach school. It was crazy but pretty cool and now I know when people think they recognize me and they don't it might be a little more than looking like 1/8 the population of Provo, with blond hair and bluish eyes.
