I didn't realize how great of a statement that was until I could say it myself, after a 12 hour night/day with every limb of my body sore I now have respect for anyone who makes it to the top. At the connection of Aug. 12 and 13 I started (with a group of friends from my ward)the ascent up Mount Timpanogos (which is 11,749 feet at the peak), we hiked for 3 hours and were about halfway there. We met up with some other guys we knew from the ward (they were on their way down)and at that point we stopped layed down in a meadow of stinky flowers and watched the meteor shower for an hour and a half. After seeing more than a hundred meteors(that's my estimate)we set off again on hour hike to make it to the peak by sunrise which we did, although I was so frigidly cold I missed quite a bit of it. On the way down we had to wait for some mountain goats we tried to hurry them and one of them started to charge us, it was a little frightening.

So I didn't bring a camara so here is a random picture of Mount Timpanogos I found on google and i'm betting it was taken for the Kimball Tower at BYU.
