Oreos and Cream Cheese

A good combination...usually. Tuesday I tried to make oreo cheesecakes (i've made them before, actually multiple times, weird that they were both around my birthday), anyways it was an epic fail, I didn't have an electric mixer so the batter was lumpy and then I burned them and my house smelled bad. Today I was looking on pinterest for cookies to make and I found Oreo Cheesecake Cookies, I was a little skeptical because they didn't have any eggs, baking soda, or baking powder, but they had pretty good reviews. So I made them.

I thought it would be like a snickerdoodle with Oreo crumbs instead of cinnamon sugar. false.
Results: negative. They were far to sweet tasted like butter and they cooked weird although that could just be my oven (I am blaming Zachary, that's my ovens name, for my burnt cheesecakes, I'm pretty sure his thermometer isn't quite right) They weren't terrible I just did not enjoy them and my roommate agreed that I have definitely made better treats. So I guess for now we will stick to oreo truffles and I will probably use the rest of my cream cheese (that I got for 99 cents) in lemon cranberry bread, because well I really love that stuff.

  1. You might want to get an oven thermometer before you bake again. Or use someone else's oven. Love you lots!!!!!
