I Love the Taste of Fall

Yesterday, I used the rest of the apples my roommates parents brought and made apple pie filling/apple topping before the apples went bad. I was thinking that I might make an apple pie and then I decided that topping waffles with the topping and ice cream was good enough for me. So this morning I made gingerbread waffles* (there was pumpkin in the recipe so it seemed extra fall like) and topped my waffle with the apples and basically it was SUPER good.
This Wednesday in my event planning class we are having a Halloween Block Party. The class is split into 8 groups and each group is given a classification and they have to throw an event like they are that type of organization, this week is supposed to be a community organization. Pretty much each week we have a class party. Anyway each group is supposed to bring a dish. My group requested I make something and so I'm making a spider web dip (7 layer dip and you put the sour cream on the top in the shape of a spider web) and then because I haven't made cream puffs in a while I'm going to make Halloween cream puffs and I'm going to die the filling orange and put the chocolate on the top in the shape of a spider web or maybe a jack-o-lantern. I'm excited, I love halloween themed food!
Really just Halloween in general or Fall in general. Although I'm not a fan of the cold I love the change of the leaves (Y mountain is SO pretty right now), I love that it's soup season and the warm feeling you get when you eat hot soup on a chilly day (just like the feeling you get when you drink hot chocolate when you are Christmas caroling, tangent, I have been listening to Christmas music since I got home from church, I just love it so much). I also requested tickets for the First Presidency Christmas Devotional tonight, Mom if tickets show up to the house I request the be forwarded to me, maybe this year I will actually take a date. Thanks. Also fall means that I'm getting through the semester. Last week was the 8th week and I'm half way done. I get to go home for Christmas in 53 days!

*The batter for the gingerbread waffles was REALLY thick, but the waffles turned out fine, they weren't crispy but they were good. Also I didn't take a picture because I was too excited to eat them I forgot.
