I'm the favorite loser.

Last Thursday in my golf class we paired up and competed in a friendly game of putting PIG. Like PIG or HORSE you play with basketball but instead we were putting. Before we started the teacher suggested we make a bet and whoever lost had to bring their winning partner a treat. Well sadly I lost, but not so sadly I LOVE to bake so this gave me a reason to make treats and not eat them all. I decided to make cream puffs and snickerdoodles, it is celebration of life day week and I was feeling really good. I'm sad to report my cream puffs did not turn out as well this time. I think I didn't bake one of the pans long enough and so I wasn't able to fill them. I had enough turn out right that I was able to make 10 of them which was just enough for the people in my class, because I figured I should take treats for everyone not just my partner. The snickerdoodles turned out soft which was great because I'm a fan of soft chewy cookies. So Monday morning I walk to class with a plate of cream puffs (which look heavenly, here are the last ones I made and they pretty much looked the same http://thestrugglemonkeys.blogspot.com/2010/05/one-step-closer.html) and a container of snickerdoodles. I had a new teacher starting Monday, and I he learned my name pretty quickly because I was the girl who brought treats.
So today I am waiting for class to start and one of the boys greets me and asked if I had any cookies today, I told him no but that my birthday was next week and I may or may not bring treats then. He laughed because that's what elementary kids do. At the end of class today, my teacher was talking about what we would be doing in class the following week and said we might have to play another game I would lose at so they could make a bet for more cream puffs and then it was mentioned by someone else I had said I was going to bring birthday treats so they had to confirm the date of my birthday so they could hold me to my word.
